The Wild West Extension District K-State Research and Extension office is your front door to the resources of Kansas University.  Through our office you can obtain information on trees, turf, shrubs, insects, gardens, and other related topics.  We also provide services such as insect identification, plant identification, and soil tests with fertilizer recommendations.

Master Gardener

The Wild West District Extension Master Gardener Program is a volunteer organization designed to provide the public with research-based horticultural information.

Trained Extension Master Gardener volunteers are involved statewide with a variety of community education projects such as:

  • Demonstartion gardens
  • Classes at community gardens
  • Gardening information at farmer's markets
  • Youth garden education in schools
  • Local garden tours
